Sundance

I can't think of anything better than doing a Fireside for a group of Relief Society sisters at a cabin in Beautiful Sundance, UT.
I have enjoyed doing Firesides for YM & YW groups over the years but this year I have started doing Firesides for Relief Society sisters as well. I am AMAZED at the response, especially with my song "Broken" ( I will blog about that later)
It's always a wonderful opportunity to do a Fireside for different Stakes but I love-love-love doing them for smaller groups like this. It's so warm and inviting and I get to visit with each of you afterward.
 (That's my favorite part)

Every time I start to question myself and the decisions I have made concerning my music, I am reminded of the beautiful spirit I feel each time I get to do this. That's when, I know, I am right where I'm supposed to be........

BYU single Adult Stake Morningside

Often times when doing a Fireside, I do not think to bring my Camera.......So, I have made a conscious effort to remember My Camera from here on out. It's been nearly five years that I have been doing firesides, and I want to remember all the wonderful experiences along the way.
(Sad I didn't think of this sooner)

Thankfully President Doman suggested we take pictures

Michele Doman, Me, Sarah Bodine, President Kevin Doman

This Morningside was a bit unique. We (Me and Sarah) were asked to come early 6:45 am to be exact. We were to meet all the single adult sisters in the Gym to help with a service project they were doing. When I arrived and walked into the Gym, my heart was full and I was moved to tears. It was packed! All these single sister were there at 6:45 in the morning to do service. They were not there because they had to be, they were there because they wanted to be!

Happiness in this life, doesn't come about because of the things that we have
but because of the things that we give. It's so important that we give service to others that we increase our focus and see those around us that need to be taken care of and help.
Thank you sisters for your example of faith and service.

Meet Katie

When I first met Katie, she was just fifteen years old. She is now a woman, and an incredible one at that. She is in nursing school, and just married  her dream  boy. I have watched Katie grow into this unbelievable Lady. She loves everyone around her, and she knows exactly what she wants in life. This was not always the case. Katie, like most teenage girls has had her share of heartbreak. I had the opportunity of being Katie's YW leader. Often times she would come over and express her frustration with school, Boys and life. (I don't think any of us would want to be fifteen for sixteen again. YIKES!)  We share so many wonderful memories together, and I am grateful to call her my friend.

Congratulations to you and your Mr.......

XOXO Jodi
